Voters in the Springville-Griffith Institute Central School District Wednesday approved a $14.3 million budget for the coming year and re-elected two incumbent School Board members to five-year terms.
The winners are Roger Carlson, Springville, 384 votes, and Linda Hoffman, Glenwood, 353. The unsuccessful challenger, A. Sanford Kenyon Jr. of Springville, received 126 votes.
Voters approved additional spending for three projects: $217,000 to replace five buses, 355-180; $80,000 for asbestos removal in Colden elementary school, 347-138; and $40,000 for installation of a hydraulic lift in the bus garage, 346-139.
The district includes parts of eight towns in Erie and Cattaraugus counties.
