Sportsystems Corp., a subsidiary of the Buffalo-based Delaware North Cos., said Wednesday it has been granted licenses to manage two greyhound racetracks in Wisconsin.
The Wisconsin Racing Board voted unanimously to grant Sportsystems licenses to manage the $17.5 million Fox Valley Greyhound Park in Kaukauna and the $6 million Wisconsin Dells Greyhound Park in Lake Delton.
The Kaukauna track, which will have a seating capacity of nearly 3,000, is expected to draw more than 500,000 spectators during 1991, its first full year of operation, Sportsystems said. The track will employ more than 300 workers.
The Lake Delton track, which will offer racing from May to September, is expected to draw more than 250,000 spectators and employ 130 workers once racing begins next year.
Wisconsin approved pari-mutuel racing last year.
