Performing the marriage ceremony for Sheri Lynn Zipp and Kevin J. Melligan at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Teresa Catholic Church was the Rev. James W. Czerwinski of Bishop Timon High School.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Zipp of Columbus Avenue are the bride's parents. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Edmund J. Melligan of Roanoke Parkway. A reception was given in Monsignor Nash Council, Knights of Columbus, clubhouse. After traveling to Virginia Beach, Va., the newly married couple will be at home on Downing Street.
Re-embroidered Alencon lace accented the bride's taffeta gown, fashioned with a sweetheart neckline and puff sleeves. The bouffant skirt and train were bordered with lace.
A silk floral wreath with pearl sprays held her veil. She carried her grandmother's handkerchief with carnations, yellow daisies and blue statice.
Michelle Marie Zipp was maid of honor for her sister. Attendants were Beth A. Bauer and Ruth E. Serafini. Terri A. Zipp was flower girl and Michael J. DellaNeve was ring bearer.
John E. Melligan was his brother's best man. Ushers were Marine Corps Cpl. Scott C. Melligan and Timothy M. Melligan, brothers of the bridegroom, Stephen W. Zipp and Marine Corps Pfc. Paul J. Zipp, brothers of the bride.
