Recent St. Bonaventure graduate Andy Whalen was named men’s golf coach at the university. The Conklin native graduated in May after a four-year career, during which he set several Bonnies golf records. He succeeds Steve Campbell.

Medaille men’s soccer: The Mavericks, who have won four straight Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference titles, continue to struggle in their non-conference schedule. Medaille fell to 0-4 after a 1-0 loss at York (Pa.) College. Medaille was outshot, 13-7, with the winning goal coming in the 63rd minute for York (3-0).
