Fairgrounds Festival of Lights Celebrates a Decade of Magic

For the past ten years the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights has welcomed guests, for one low price, by the carload to experience the magic of over a million holiday lights.

The drive through is just a small part of what the Festival of Lights has to offer guests, however. Shows, rides, hands on activities, snacks, and shopping all await visitors when they leave their cars to explore 42nd Street. On the street, guests can take a ride on the One Buffalo Express Train, or brave the mountain and tube down Snowzilla. Families who are looking for an enchanting holiday photo op can find 150 trees adorned in twinkling lights inside Christmas Tree Forest.

A holiday event would not be complete without the chance to visit with the Big Guy, Santa! The Fairgrounds Festival of Lights is debuting a 10,000 square foot North Pole Experience. The magical walk through display will lead guests through an elf village, Santa’s Toy Shop, and the arctic. The height of the experience comes when guests stand face to face with the Claus house. On the porch, guests on the nice list will have the opportunity to meet Santa himself.

The only event of its type in the area, the Fairgrounds Festival of Lights offers the largest display of lights in WNY. It is the perfect destination to experience the best of the holiday season with your family and friends.  For more information about the Festival, including a listing of special events, visit us online at FairgroundsHoliday.com or call (716) 649-3900.
