The next step on the road to the NFL Draft is the Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, which begins next week.
After the combine, players return to their campuses for Pro Days.
Among the advantages for quarterbacks at their Pro Days is that they get to throw to their own receivers, players they've thrown hundreds of passes to and are comfortable with. They also go throu…

More than 300 NFL prospects will be at the Scouting Combine next week in Indianapolis. The 40-yard dash has become an annual highlight with fans obsessing over hundredths of a second and players investing significant money in working with trainers and speed coaches to improve by those hundredths.
But why do players run 40 yards and not 50 yards or 100 yards?
Jeff Burris boarded a plane to Ruston, La., last week after the former Buffalo Bills cornerback had just accepted an offer to become the cornerbacks coach at Louisiana Tech, leaving the same position he held this past year at Northern Iowa.
“It’s been an emotional roller coaster ride for the past few days,” Burris, 45, said over the phone on the way to the airport. “The…
Among the highlights of the Bills' season was the Week 14 "snow globe" game against the Indianapolis Colts.
The NFL Network will re-air the game at 1 p.m. Thursday. Set your DVR.
The Bills play the Colts, with new coach Frank Reich, during the 2018 season, although that game will be in Indianapolis.
The Bills' best quarterback since Jim Kelly? That's an easy one.
It's .... um ... well ... pass?
Ah, yes – pass. The word that has given the Bills so much trouble since Kelly, the Hall-of-Fame quarterback, retired more than 20 years ago. The list of the Bills' best quarterbacks since then is a short one, but Tyrod Taylor, believe it or not, is near the top.

The Buffalo Bills did not use a no-huddle offense much in 2017, which probably made sense, given they had one of the most inefficient attacks in the NFL.
The Bills ranked 29th in yards, 22nd in points and 30th in time of possession. With that kind of attack, a hurry-up offense is a good way to hurry up onto the sideline.
So it's no surprise that the Bills used the no…
Tyrod Taylor will always have a place in Bills history as the quarterback who ended the playoff drought.
Opinions on Taylor’s abilities vary widely across the fanbase, but one thing that can’t be argued is that Taylor has been one of the most productive quarterbacks the Bills have had in quite some time.
Is it possible Taylor is the Bills’ best quarterback since Jim …
Sports Illustrated's Peter King used his weekly MMQB.com column to look at the potential movement among quarterbacks in free agency along with landing spots for the top draft-eligible quarterbacks. Since free agency began, King says he doesn't remember a year "with the same combined level of depth at quarterback in the free market and in the draft" as this year.
Since the NFL instituted the franchise tag in 1993, the Buffalo Bills have used it five times.
Don’t look for them to employ it a sixth time Tuesday, when the league allows each team to apply the tag to one of its unrestricted free agents.
The reason? Simple. The Bills don’t have an unrestricted free agent worth tagging among the 18 players who are headed to that sta…
With 18 players set to hit the open market in March, the radical reshaping of the Bills roster by Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane is likely to continue.
Still, some of the players with expiring contracts might be worth retaining. Jay Skurski prioritizes the soon-to-be free agents in this slideshow and offers his opinion on which ones should continue to be part of the p…

The Washington Redskins can officially tag Kirk Cousins starting on Tuesday. But if they do, expect the quarterback to go on the offensive.
Cousins will file a grievance through the NFL players' union if the Redskins stick a franchise tag on him, according to a person with knowledge of the situation who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
