Find out how much 147 hospitals or health systems in New York State charged for 100 treatments and procedures in 2012, according to data from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. The federal agency released the data in June 2014.

The data includes charges from 15 hospitals or health systems in Western New York.

Hospitals in Western New York charge less for the most common procedures when compared to hospitals in other parts of the country. The region’s hospitals, however, are much closer to the national average for how much Medicare paid for the procedures.
