The Tigers defeated Notre Dame College School of Ontario, 80-72, on Friday night at Timon. Master Radford had a monster game for the winners, pouring in a game-high 34 points to go with 20 rebounds. St. Francis transfer Julian Cunningham added 16 points, five assists and five rebounds in his Timon debut, while Tahron Goudelock finished with 21 points and three assists. "It feels great, the team played hard," Rowe said.

The Newfane girls basketball team switched from a full-court zone pressure in the first half to a man-based press, which forced a lot of Grand Island turnovers and led to a 49-42 nonleague win. The Panthers were up at half, 18-16. Paige Emborksy had a game-high 25 points, nine from beyond the arc. Emborsky and Emily Foltz combined for all 15 of Newfane’s fourth-quarter points. They went 6-8 from the line. Newfane hosts perennial Niagara-Orleans League power Wilson on Monday. The Panthers haven’t beat the Lakewomen in a decade.
