National Vacuum Environmental Services Corp., which in February obtained a tax break for a new plant in Niagara Falls, will try again after its efforts to buy land in the Falls fell through.
The cleanup company applied to the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency Wednesday for a 15-year property tax and sales tax reduction on an 8.5-acre site it would buy from National Fuel in the NCIDA's Vantage International Pointe industrial park off Lockport Road in Wheatfield.
The $2.62 million plan calls for a 20,000-square-foot plant and 10 new jobs for National Vacuum, which now employs 38 people at a plant on 47th Street in Niagara Falls. The company had sought to move to a site on 56th Street.
The incentives would save the company an estimated $526,000 over 15 years.
