West Seneca man, dubbed by police as 'barbershop bandit,' faces charges in two towns

A 46-year-old West Seneca man has been charged with four burglaries in town, including two hair salons and two other businesses on Transit Road, according to West Seneca police.

Michael C. Meier, of Indian Church Road, has been charged with burglarizing Cosmo Prof and Mirror Image Salon, both on Union Road, as well as Mario & Son Tile and Sortie Countertops on Transit, police said Monday.

The burglaries in West Seneca date back to March 11, Detective Capt. Patrick A. Shea said.

Meier, who police have dubbed the "barbershop bandit" for his alleged involvement in hair salon burglaries across the area, has also been charged for burglaries in Cheektowaga, Shea said.
