Two walking tours scheduled for today in North Tonawanda have been postponed because of the inclement weather.
The tours, which will be rescheduled, will be used to solicit public input on neighborhood improvements in the downtown area, including possible construction of gateways.
The tours were intended to check out the intersections of Goundry and Thompson streets with Oliver Street and River Road.
They were set up by Joy Kuebler Landscape Architects of North Tonawanda, hired by the city to handle the design work on a state-funded $2.5 million Smart Growth project..
A third tour at 5 p.m. April 30 will meet at Webster and Main streets and focus on the Webster Street triangle.
