Homeroom Announcements: Friday's big games & more

Get yourself ready for today's #PrepTalkLive action with everything you need to know about the day ahead in high school sports.

What to watch for Friday

1. Baseball - Williamsville South at Sweet Home, 5 p.m.

ECIC II rivals Sweet Home (4-0, 1-0) and Williamsville South (2-1, 1-0) both look to stay undefeated in league play. Sweet Home's Justin Bystrak threw a perfect game Monday in a 1-0 home win over Maryvale.

2. Boys lacrosse - Niagara Wheatfield at Orchard Park, 5:30 p.m.

Traditional power Orchard Park (2-0) welcomes Niagara Wheatfield (2-1) in a nonleague game. The Quakers have yet to allow a goal in 20-0 and 19-0 wins over Lockport and North Tonawanda, respectively.

3. Girls lacrosse - Hamburg at Lancaster, 5 p.m.

Strong programs Hamburg (2-1) and Lancaster (0-1) look to rebound from losses last time out. The Bulldogs dropped a 12-6 game to rival Frontier, while the Legends lost a close 14-13 game against Amherst.

4. Softball - Amherst at Williamsville North, 4:45 p.m.

Williamsville North (1-0) plays its second game in as many days when it hosts Amherst (1-0) in an interdivisional ECIC matchup.
