The Buffalo Public Schools lead a list of schools in the metro area that are closed Friday due to the winter storm.
All classes and activities at the University at Buffalo have been canceled today. Daemen College and SUNY Buffalo State also canceled classes Friday.
Reports online by WIVB-TV Channel 4 noted all parochial schools in the area and many charter schools announced they would be closed.
Closings were announced, according to WIVB-TV reports published online Thursday night, for all schools in Akron, Alden, Amherst, Clarence, Cheektowaga, Depew, Grand Island, Kenmore, Lackawanna, Tonawanda, Williamsville and districts throughout the Southtowns. All public schools in Niagara County said they would be closed, the WIVB online report stated.
Buffalo and Erie County Library branches within the City of Buffalo will delay opening until noon Friday.
