How to really get someone to take your Sabres tickets

Most people can't give away their Buffalo Sabres tickets. That includes Buffalo craft brewer, Community Beer Works, which on Monday took an additional step to unload its tickets.

It paid somebody.

The brewer couldn't find anyone who wanted a free pair of 200-level tickets for the Monday afternoon game against the Washington Capitals. It tried everybody, but couldn't get a taker.

So the company took to Twitter and sweetened the deal (which already included free parking) with $10 in cash.

It worked, but just barely. Community Beer Works confirmed finding a taker. Some, however, didn't think the cash payment was enough.

The lucky winner, also $10 richer, was @jameybash. He said in a Twitter direct message that he was offered the $10 but donated it back to the brewer.

How do you sell Sabres tickets that no one wants? You don't.
