CTG buys Paris IT business

Computer Task Group has acquired a French information technology company in a move to expand its presence in Europe.

The Buffalo-based information technology company acquired Soft Co., a Paris information technology consulting and engineering company, in a deal valued at $16.5 million. The acquisition will expand CTG's European presence, which now is centered mostly in Belgium and Luxembourg, while also adding about $30 million in annual revenues.

CTG said the acquisition will broaden its European services to include business intelligence and analytics, as well as mobile app development. The deal is expected to add to CTG's earnings immediately.

Soft has more than 200 consultants, while CTG's staff includes 800 people in western Europe and 3,250 companywide.
