Counterfeit cash used to buy candy, pizza and gas in Buffalo

A pizza deliveryman, a gas station clerk and a 7-Eleven employee fell victim on Sunday to customers with counterfeit cash, according to Buffalo police reports.

Someone bought two candy bars at the 7-Eleven on Prospect Avenue Sunday afternoon, paying with a fake $50 bill, according to a report.

In the second case, two women paid for gas at a gas station on Bailey Avenue near Langfield Drive with a fake $50 bill, according to another report.

A pizza deliveryman delivered food to a home on Stockbridge Avenue, between Parkridge and Comstock avenues. Three men inside paid with a fake $100 bill, according to a report.

Last week, two businesses on Elmwood Avenue reported customers using counterfeit cash.
