The Niagara County Federation of Conservation Clubs is seeking nominations of the group’s annual conservation awards as it prepares to hold its banquet on April 14 at Terry’s Corners Volunteer Fire Company on Route 77 east of Lockport. Each year, the Federation – representative of some 27 clubs in Niagara County – recognizes the top club, conservationist, youth, legislator, hunter safety instructor and more. However, like the state lottery, you must be in it to win it. Nominations will be accepted until Feb. 28 through any club delegate. You can also contact John Butcher at 433-1014 to obtain a nomination form.
This year tickets will be $35 each. Tickets can be purchased by contacting Dave Whitt at 754-2133 or you can mail a payment in to 702 Ridge Road, Lewiston, N.Y. 14092.
