Students who misbehave lack discipline at home
Finally, someone says exactly what the problem is in the Buffalo school system. The home! Students lack discipline and respect for their parents, who probably didn’t get this in their growing years. It’s hard to give what you never received. The children are unprepared for what is expected of them – to behave and follow instructions.
Teachers are overwhelmed with behavior of children who come from dysfunctional parenting. It’s a lot to ask of our teachers. How can we help them? A previous writer to The News suggested life coaching for the parents. That’s a start. We must find ways to help the parents and their children. Delay is not an option.
