Another sunshiny day Tuesday, warmer on Wednesday

A bright, seasonal February day is expected today in Western New York.

National Weather Service forecasters said to expect mostly sunny skies today with a high near 30 degrees. Overnight lows will be in the upper 20s.

As Arctic high pressure moves out toward the east, a southerly flow will take over, forecasters said.

Warmer temperatures are forecast to move into the Buffalo Niagara region for Wednesday with partly sunny skies, southwesterly winds and a high near 50 degrees.

There's a 50/50 chance for showers overnight Wednesday with lows near 40 degrees.

Thursday could return to near 50 degrees with breezy conditions. Forecasters said there's a 20 percent chance for rain showers.

The average high temperature for mid-February in Buffalo is 33 degrees with a low of 19 degrees.
