Frontier Airlines, which Buffalo Niagara International Airport officials say has reported packed flights since launching local service in December, is expanding even more.
A source with knowledge of the situation said the airline will announce new, nonstop service to Raleigh-Durham and Austin at an airport news conference today. The new flights will mark the only nonstop service to any Texas city from Buffalo, and will initially involve one trip per week to Austin and one to Raleigh-Durham and back.
All flights, which begin April 8, are available for purchase at flyfrontier.com with introductory fares as low as $29 each way.
Frontier began service to Buffalo two months ago with nonstop flights to Fort Myers, Miami, Orlando and Tampa. The carrier will soon begin serving Denver.
