Man charged with gunpoint robbery on Pine Avenue

A Niagara Falls man was charged Monday morning with robbing a man at gunpoint on the 600 block of Pine Avenue, according to a city police report.

The victim told police he was followed by a man from an ATM shortly after 9 a.m. The robber then held a gun to his head and took cash, according to the report.

The suspect, identified as Rashaan T. Houston, 27, fled the area but was taken into custody at Park Place and Cedar Avenue. He was charged with second-degree robbery, according to the report.

Police did not recover a gun, the report said.
