Buffalo Police officer suspended after being charged with DWI

A Buffalo Police officer charged with driving while intoxicated after an alleged incident early Monday morning has been suspended without pay, according to the Buffalo Police Department.

Buffalo Police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge would not confirm the identity of the officer late Wednesday.

DeGeorge said the Buffalo Police Department's Internal Affairs Division was investigating the matter.

WIVB reported that Cheektowaga Police said the officer was Buffalo Police Det. Mark Locicero, who the TV station reported was allegedly in his city vehicle in the parking lot of Wegmans on Transit Road in Cheektowaga when he reportedly struck another vehicle multiple times.
