A taste of old favorites and new international flavors are planned for a "micro food hall" restaurant on Hertel Avenue.
The restaurant will feature a best-hits compilation from Acropolis and Newbury Salads, and black rice sushi from Sun Roll, according to a press release.
Newbury's salads, grain bowls, wraps, smoothies and soups will be available in a quick-serve format. Sun Roll's sushi and Burmese curry burritos will provide another quick option.
A selection of Acropolis dishes will be offered with table service, and a full bar. A patio spanning the width of the building is also in the works.
New offerings at PK Eats will include Ogenki, offering grilled Japanese and Korean style meats, and wok-fired dishes including pad thai. Plans also include Greek gyro shaved from a rotating vertical spit.
The restaurant will serve all day, from breakfast to late-night dining and drinking, plus Saturday and Sunday brunch.
“The vision for the micro food hall concept is to offer people a variety of outstanding tastes in a dynamic environment,” said Tsouflidis, who closed his Elmwood Avenue Newbury Salads last month. “Hertel Avenue is the perfect place to bring our brands together for the first time."
The partners hope to open in the former video rental store on June 1.
