Darius L. Bray, who admitted to a gun possession felony in connection with a May 12 robbery attempt in which a drug dealer was shot, was sentenced Wednesday to the maximum seven years in prison.
Bray and the drug dealer wrestled over a gun at Ferry Avenue and Eighth Street in Niagara Falls, and the gun went off, wounding the dealer in the arm.
"You live a dangerous life. You hover around violence," State Supreme Court Justice Richard C. Kloch Sr. told Bray, 23, of Pine Avenue in the Falls.
Niagara County prosecutors say that on Oct. 13, surveillance video at a Niagara Falls gas station showed Bray handing a dark object to Denzel Lewis, 21, who is charged with fatally shooting Lerowne Harris, 35, an hour later there.
