Niagara University students provide tax help to needy

Accounting students from Niagara University's College of Business Administration are providing free tax preparation assistance to elderly and low-income residents.

Assistance will be provided from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Room 305 of St. Vincent’s Hall on the NU campus Tuesday, Feb. 6 and Thursday, Feb. 8, and Feb. 13, 15, 20, 22 and 27; March 1, 13, 15, 20, 22 and 27; and April 3 and 5. In addition, sessions are planned from noon to 4 p.m. on Feb. 24 and March 17 in the Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building, 3001 Ninth St., Niagara Falls. 

Appointments are accepted but not necessary. Bring photo identification and a social security card. The program is coordinated by Niagara faculty member Ian Burt and sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service. Call 286-7328, dial 211 or visit www.niagara.edu/vita.
