Lew-Port students jog their way to large Hospice donation

Lewiston-Porter students recently jogged their way to a generous donation for Niagara Hospice, contributing $1,170 through their participation in a special event.

The students each paid $1 to take part in the Jingle Jog, held Dec. 22 in the Primary and Intermediate Education Centers. Each participating student’s name was displayed on an ornament tree and the students jogged around the schools for 30 minutes for the fundraiser. Additional donations from students’ families helped increase the gift to Hospice.

Niagara Hospice has provided end-of-life comfort, care and support since 1988 to more than 20,000 Niagara County individuals and families faced with terminal illness. No one is ever denied hospice care due to inability to pay. For more information, visit www.NiagaraHospice.org or call 439-4417.
