Buffalo woman with sticky fingers charged at Fashion Outlets

A Buffalo woman with a history of shoplifting from stores in the Fashion Outlets of Niagara Falls was arrested recently for allegedly stealing $1,000 worth of designer purses from the Kate Spade outlet.

Town of Niagara police charged Yvette D. Brown, 51, of East Morris Street, with fourth-degree grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools following her latest arrest on Jan. 19. Police said she had foil-lined bags in her possession ā€“ used to defeat store security sensors ā€“ as well as four stolen purses and a leather jacket.

Mall employees also recognized her as the suspect in an earlier theft at the mall's Calvin Klein outlet, in which $2,250 worth of designer jackets were stolen, according to police reports.
