South Buffalo man charged with aggravated DWI had empty Labatt cans in car

A South Buffalo man had empty Labatt Blue Light cans in his car when he was arrested for aggravated driving while intoxicated Thursday morning, according to a Buffalo police report.

Jeffrey C. Bantin-Barney, 24, was pulled over for speeding on Hertel Avenue between Elmwood Avenue and Military Road.

He registered a blood-alcohol content of 0.23 percent, nearly triple the legal limit of .08 percent, according to the police report. He was arrested at 2:06 a.m.

Bantin-Barney was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI and reckless driving, according to the report.
