Man charged with possessing kiddie porn after police say he lured girl to home

A Chautauqua County man was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possessing child pornography, the State Police said Friday.

Troopers searched the home of Peter Baker, 65, of Sherman, after a woman told police her 10-year-old daughter was lured by Baker to his home with the promise of giving the girl $20. Instead, Baker showed her an inappropriate picture on his phone, police said.

Troopers found multiple images of child pornography in his home, police said. Baker turned himself in at the State Police's Jamestown barracks. In addition to the charge of possession a sexual performance by a child, he was also charged with child endangerment, police said.
