Cheektowaga man admits stealing $27,000 from Falls construction company

A former manager at Mark Cerrone Inc., a Niagara Falls construction company admitted in Niagara County Court Thursday that he used company credit cards and accounts to make $27,535 in personal purchases.

Kevin L. Williams, 35, of Borden Road, Cheektowaga, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny. He could be imprisoned for as long as four years when he returns for sentencing by Judge Matthew J. Murphy III on April 19. In the meantime, Williams is free on $1,000 bail.

Full restitution will be part of the sentence, Murphy said. The thefts occurred between March 2016 and June 2017. Assistant District Attorney Claudette S. Caldwell told Murphy that records showed money was spent at Home Depot, restaurants and hotels, among other places.
