Lockport crack dealer sentenced to 3 1/2 years in prison

Stanley E. Presha, who was charged with selling crack cocaine three times in the City of Lockport in 2016, was sentenced Thursday to 3 1/2 years in state prison.

Presha, 27, of Scovell Street, Lockport, had pleaded guilty last April, and Niagara County Judge Matthew J. Murphy III then assigned him to a court-supervised drug treatment program.

Assistant District Attorney Laura T. Bittner said Presha was ousted from the program for smuggling drugs into the County Jail when he served a brief sentence for violating drug court rules, and he also pleaded guilty to assaulting an inmate he accused of reporting the contraband.

Murphy added three years of post-release supervision to the prison sentence and ordered Presha to repay $120 that the county Drug Task Force spent on buying crack from him.
