Former news anchor Pasceri leaves DA's Office for Amherst Chamber

Joanna Pasceri, the longtime Channel 7 anchor, has left her communications job with the Erie County District Attorney's Office to take a similar position with the Amherst Chamber of Commerce.

Pasceri started last week as the Chamber's senior director of marketing and communications. She spent the past two years as the first-ever public information officer employed by the DA's Office.

The Lockport native was hired by then-acting DA Michael Flaherty after she ended her 22-year career with WKBW-TV, where she spent her final nine years as the station's primary female co-anchor.

Pasceri said she enjoyed building up the public information post in the DA's Office but looks forward to gaining more marketing experience and engaging on economic development issues.

District Attorney John J. Flynn said he has hired Kaitlyn Munro, previously the assignment desk supervisor at Spectrum News Buffalo, as Pasceri's successor starting this week.
