What local tourists want to know is topic of history talk

Ray Wigle, director of the Erie Canal Discovery Center, will present “What the Tourists Want to Know, But Nobody Told Them” at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Niagara History Center, 215 Niagara St., Lockport.

The event is open to the public. In fact, guests are encouraged to ask their own questions and add to the program. Wigle will talk about the questions that pop up most often and use both historical and modern images of the Erie Canal and Lockport Locks to give the audience a short history of the site.

Donations will be accepted. Call the Niagara History Center at 434-7433 for more information. The History Center receives grant assistance from the New York State Council on the Arts.
