Sunflower Bean announces Mohawk Place date

On-the-rise act Sunflower Bean will return to Buffalo at 7 p.m. May 6 in Mohawk Place (47 E Mohawk St.).

Last seen opening for the Pixies in the UB Center for the Arts' Mainstage Theatre last fall, the NYC three-piece caught a nice buzz on the strength of sun-kissed balled "Easier Said," found on the band's 2016 debut "Human Ceremony."

The psych-lite group will be back in town to support its forthcoming sophomore record "Twentytwo in Blue," which is set to drop on March 23. The album's languid-yet-groovy first single "I Was a Fool" is currently making the blog rounds.

London pop-punk trio Dream Wife will be on hand for support.

Fun fact: The clip for "I Was a Fool" was directed by Buffalo-bred photographer Andy DeLuca. Check it out below.

Advance tickets are currently on sale for $10 through Ticketfly or charge by phone at 877-987-6487.
