Gunman sought in apparent home invasion on West Side

Two men with bandanas over their faces, one carrying a rifle, demanded money from two Massachusetts Avenue residents on Tuesday night, according to a Buffalo police report.

The assailants entered through the front door of a home on Massachusetts near the corner of Normal Avenue at 11:10 p.m., according to the report. The report noted it was not known whether the front door was locked.

The victims told police the assailants broke an empty cabinet and then took a number of items, including video game systems and jewelry, according to the report.

The man who had the gun was described as a Hispanic male, about 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds with black hair. He wore a black hoodie, jeans and Air Jordan 1 sneakers. The other intruder was described as a black male, also about 5-foot-7 and 150 pounds and with black hair. He also was wearing a black hoodie.
