Delaware North donates $100,000 to upgrade facilities at WBFO-FM

Studios and equipment will be upgraded at WBFO-FM, the National Public Radio affiliate in Buffalo, thanks to a $100,000 donation from Delaware North, the Western New York Public Broadcasting Association announced.

The money will help build a permanent social media streaming center in the WBFO studios to facilitate video streams from Facebook Live, YouTube and other sources.

It also will provide two more audio editing stations for additional reporters in the station’s expanded newsroom and support the renovation of the radio production control room to accommodate more complex audio and multimedia material for WBFO and its sister station, WNED-FM.
