Batavia man charged with making terroristic threat

A Batavia man was charged Tuesday with making a terroristic threat toward an employee of the Genesee County Sheriff's Office.

Joseph T. Misiak Jr., 62, of Pratt Road, is accused of leaving a threatening voicemail to a supervisor who works for the sheriff's office, according to an arrest report filed by the sheriff's office.

Misiak was arraigned at 3:10 p.m. in Batavia City Court and released under the supervision of a Genesee County justice. Also, a temporary order of protection was issued in city court barring Misiak from having contact with the supervisor, according to the sheriff's office.
