Built to Spill, Afghan Whigs team up for Town Ballroom date

Built to Spill and Afghan Whigs' just announced co-headlining tour will include a stop at 7 p.m. April 24 in the Town Ballroom (681 Main St.).

The influential Boise rock act Built to Spill has been no strangers to Buffalo over the years, playing a number of memorable shows at the Ballroom and down at the waterfront. The group's last record "Untethered Moon" was shared in 2015.

As for the Afghan Whigs, the Cincinnati alt-rock act reformed in 2011 after previously breaking up  in 2001. The group released its most recent album "In Spades" last May.

California electronic duo Rituals of Mine is tabbed to open the show.

Advance tickets are $32.50 and will go on sale at noon Jan. 19 (box office, Ticketfly or charge by phone at 877-987-6487. A limited number of Afghan Whigs meet-and-gree tickets will also be available  for $135.
