Buffalo man charged in East Side stabbing

A Buffalo man has been charged with stabbing another man in the Broadway-Bailey neighborhood on Monday night, according to a Buffalo police report.

Bryan L. Suarez, 25, faces multiple charges, including second-degree assault, after a man was stabbed twice with a kitchen knife on Schutrum Street around 11:30 p.m., according to the report.

The victim, who was stabbed in the hand and forearm, was taken to Erie County Medical Center for treatment, according to the report. His condition was not available Tuesday morning.

The victim told police he was having a verbal argument with his mother when Suarez stepped in, broke a window on a vehicle and then stabbed him, according to the report.

Suarez was also charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police.
