Mom with baby in tow charged with smuggling pot, painkillers into Attica

A woman with a baby was arrested for allegedly smuggling marijuana and other controlled substances into Attica Correctional Facility while attempting to visit an inmate, according to State Police.

Danielle A. Greene, 25, of Rochester, was accompanied on the visit Thursday by her 9-month-old daughter, State Police said.

In addition to being arrested for promoting prison contraband and drug possession, Greene faces a charge of endangering the welfare of a child, State Police said.

Greene was allegedly found in possession of Oxycodone and Percocet, which she hid in her clothing, and 11 fingertips of latex gloves containing marijuana concealed on her person, as she tried to enter the prison, State Police said.

The baby was turned over to a member of Greene's family with assistance from Child Protective Services, State Police said.

Greene was remanded to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $2,500 bail, State Police said. She is scheduled to return to Attica Town Court.
