Lackawanna man connected to shots fired on Chippewa Street in police custody

A 28-year-old Lackawanna man has been taken into custody by Buffalo Police in connection with reports of gunshots fired early on Sunday on Chippewa Street, the Buffalo Police Department said on Twitter on Monday.

The gunshots were reported at about 4 a.m. Sunday, according to Buffalo Police.

The incident happened in the first block of Chippewa Street, according to Michael J. DeGeorge, a spokesman for Buffalo Police.

No one was struck or injured in the incident, according to published reports.

Buffalo Police have not yet released the name of the man that they have in custody.
