Man grabs kitchen knife, assumes 'fighting stance,' ends up in jail

A 42-year-old man was charged with second-degree menacing after he threatened another man with a kitchen knife during an argument.

Jamestown police responded to the 600 block of Spring Street at about 7:51 p.m. after receiving a report of a person armed with a weapon.

Officers were told that an argument had occurred between Ismael Rivera-Pena and another unidentified male, and learned that Rivera-Pena had taken up a knife and assumed a fighting stance. Rivera-Pena, whose address was not listed, was taken to the city jail pending arraignment.
