16-year-old passenger killed in Elma crash after car crosses center line

A 16-year-old Iroquois High School student from Elma was killed late Sunday morning after the car she was a passenger in crossed the center line on Bullis Road and was hit by an oncoming vehicle.

State Police did not reveal the names of the victim, drivers or the other occupants, saying they are still investigating the incident, which occurred at 11:15 a.m. in about the 1600 block of Bullis.

The preliminary investigation showed that the driver of one car was heading westbound on Bullis but veered into the eastbound lane and was hit by an eastbound vehicle.

Four other individuals were injured, with varying degrees of severity, but none of their injuries were life-threatening, police said.
