UB dental school to offer free care during 'Give Kids a Smile Day'

The University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine will host its annual free “Give Kids a Smile Day” from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 3 in Squire Hall on the South Campus.

Dental school students and staff will treat children ages 2 to 18 who may not have a dentist, may not be able to visit a dentist on a regular basis or may not have the resources to pay for dental care.

Children will get exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, X-rays and fillings or extractions as needed that day.

Kids and parents also will have the chance to learn more about the importance of oral health and receive toothbrushes, floss and more.

Registration is required by calling 829-2780 or emailing leahfort@buffalo.edu.
