Four Niagara Falls men pleaded not guilty to felonies in Niagara County Court Friday after police said they were caught in an undercover drug purchase by Niagara Falls and State Police.
Niagara County Assistant District Attorney Peter M. Wydysh said the defendants were rounded up this week after being indicted on charges of selling crack cocaine at least twice each during June and July near the Coastal gas station at 19th Street and Walnut Avenue in the Falls.
Charged were Justin Kent, 28, of Cleveland Avenue; Marquan D. Fair, 19, of 19th Street; Valentino Scarborough II, 27, of Forest Avenue; and Rakem S. Hamilton, 19, of 25th Street.
Wydysh said a fifth suspect, Jha'mere Mulkey, 19, of Falls Street, was arraigned earlier. Mulkey also is awaiting sentencing as the driver in a drive-by shooting.
