A drug dealer who was caught with a loaded pistol during a police raid on his Niagara Falls home in November was sentenced Thursday to 5 years in prison by a federal judge.
Julius Hall, Jr., 32, was sentenced on his conviction of possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
According to prosecutors, Hall was arrested while officer executed a search warrant Nov. 10 at his 38th Street apartment, where they found a .40 caliber Glock pistol with a loaded 15-round magazine inside a bag in Hall's bedroom closet. In addition, police seized four plastic bags containing cocaine and crack cocaine, $578 and digital scales with a white powder residue on them in the apartment.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Niagara Falls Police Department.
