Given how cold of a start 2018 has blessed us with, it wouldn't be too soon to start looking ahead to much warmer days.
One reason to get excited for the summer is the announcement by Artpark that the Tedeschi Trucks Band's "Wheels of Soul" Tour will include a stop at 6 p.m. July 17 in the Artpark Outdoor Amphitheater (450 South 4th St., Lewiston) as part of the "Tuesday in the Park" series.
Led by husband-and-wife Susan Tedeschi and former guitar prodigy Derek Trucks, the 11-piece outfit made its debut in 2011 with the release of "Revelator." The must-see live unit released its latest and strongest studio album yet in 2015's genre spanning "Let Me Get By."
Also performing at this year's installment of the tour, the fourth since its inaugural run in 2015, will be the rowdy alt-country act Drive by Truckers and the South Carolina soulful blues rockers the Marcus King Band. Past "Wheels of Soul" tours have included Sharon Jones & the Dapp Kings, the Wood Brothers and Hot Tuna.
Tickets are $14-$42 in advance and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 12 at the box office, Tickets.com or charge by phone at 888-223-6000. Season packages for Artpark's "Tuesday in the Park" series are also available to purchase.
