Buffalo woman charged with West Side arson

A Buffalo woman is scheduled to appear in Buffalo City Court on Thursday on charges she intentionally started a fire Friday on the West Side.

Lucinda Eaddy, 57, is accused of setting her ex-boyfriend's clothes on fire in the stairwell of a residence on West Avenue. She was arrested on Friday, according to a Buffalo police report.

There were two other people inside the home on West, between Breckenridge and West Ferry streets, when the fire started. Eaddy told investigators she had been drinking, according to the report.

Eaddy was charged with second-degree arson, second-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree criminal mischief, police said. She was being held Monday morning in the Erie County Holding Center.
