Orchard Park police dealt with a pair of unrelated accidents Friday that resulted in drunk driving charges against two men.
Police said Patrick Connelly, 68, of Orchard Park, collided with an eastbound vehicle on Southwestern Boulevard just after leaving a bar parking lot. Police were called to the scene near St. John Vianney Catholic Church at around 7 p.m. to investigate.
Police said Connelly appeared intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and taken to the police station where he submitted to a breath test resulting in a .14 blood alcohol content reading. He also was charged with failing to yield the right-of-way. He was released without bail.
Orchard Park officers also responded at approximately 2:40 p.m. to the Route 219 off ramp at Big Tree Road where a car went off of the road.
The driver, Adam Korzeniewski, 23, of Fredonia, claimed he lost control on black ice.
Police said Korzeniewski appeared intoxicated, failed field sobriety tests, and was charged with aggravated DWI after a breath test resulted in a .27 blood alcohol content reading.
In addition, he faces charges of failure to keep right and imprudent speed. He posted bail and was released
