Buffalo teen charged with robbing sub deliveryman

A Buffalo teen is accused of robbing a Skip the Dishes delivery driver of food from Jim's Steakout on Wednesday night, according to a Buffalo police report.

The 16-year-old Grove Street resident  was charged with using a BB gun during the robbery on West Ferry Street near Oxford Avenue, just west of Main Street, at about 10 p.m., according to the report.

The victim, who said he was supposed to collect $37.50 from the customer for two subs, told police the robber asked him if he could provide change for a $100 bill. The victim also declined the robber's request to go get money to make change, which was when the teen pulled out the BB gun, according to the report.

The victim chased the robber down Oxford but managed to evade his pursuer. The report did not explain the circumstances of his capture by police. The 16-year-old robber was charged with third-degree robbery, petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to court papers.
